a detention cr in guatemala city -- surroud >>> antivirus software founder john mcafee is in miami arriving there 45 minutes ago. he was released from a detention center in guatemala city surrounded by police and reporters. guatemala says it is expelling mcafee for entering the country illegally. he sneaked in from neighboring belize where he is wanted for questioning in the death of his neighbor. it's not clear whether u.s. officials will hold him on behalf of authorities in belize. >>> well, you might think that residents with the least amount of trash to be picked up would get the lowest rate increase if they get one at all. but in san carlos, that's not the case. cbs 5 reporter don ford explains why they are paying more. >>> reporter: trash day in san carlos, cans lined up. starting january new rates are going up. but not everyone gets the same rate increase. smaller cans get a large increase while large cans get a smaller increase. >> i think it's crazy. >> reporter: this is a smaller can. >> if i have to pay more then i might as well get the bigger size. but i have less garba

bound, gagged and beaten on a city street. one of the victims died. cbs 5 reporter linda yee tells us this was no random crime. >> reporter: no, it wasn't. in fact, they have arrested four women and one man in a hercules home this morning. now, police say this visitacion valley neighborhood was the dumping ground for their two victims. investigators call this case so bizarre, it is something you see only in the movies. now, a man and woman were tied up and gagged, beaten, one shot left on the street early sunday evening. information led police to the five suspects. they say a 32-year-old san francisco woman and a 21-year- old oakland man have been charged with murder. three women, 19, 22 and 24 years old from hercules have been charged with accessory to murder. investigators say the victims knew their attackers. >> it was established that there was an extensive relationship between the victims and the suspect in this case. i cannot get into details about the relationships. >> reporter: police say they wouldn't elaborate on a motive, nor would they confirm that this case may be tied to

, fremont, oakland and redwood city. your lows tonight in the low 50s. concord 51. a little milder tonight because we have cloud cover. another cloudy day today. but there's a difference between this weathermaker and the past several. one, it's not as juicy. there's not as much moisture in the atmosphere and two, we have an area of high pressure building in from the south which has shoved the storm track farther up to the north. it's pouring in seattle. it's pouring in portland. it's pouring in eugene. it's pouring in crescents city. but crescent city but not here in the bay area. after tomorrow high pressure will build off to the west giving's dry flow of air from the northwest and it's december so a northwest flow of air will be chilly. highs around 60, lows in the 30s. but you get the sunshine back as soon as the end of the week and into the weekend. we'll have showers throughout the morning commute but nothing too terribly heavy. it will be out of here by the evening and will clear out and thursday looks sunnier than the past couple of days. so what to expect? showers moving in from th
